AMM is an intelligent content-matching system I built to solve a structural problem in large marketing organizations: personalization that doesn't actually scale.
Teams invest heavily in audience segmentation, message frameworks, and A/B testing. But execution breaks down because rules don't scale with traffic complexity, content variants multiply without governance, insights stay trapped inside isolated tests, and optimization cycles are slow and manual.
The result isn't a lack of effort. It's fragmentation.
High effort. Incremental lift. Constant rework. No compounding intelligence.
AMM was designed to change that — from episodic optimization to reusable personalization infrastructure.
Most teams treat personalization as a content problem:
How many variants do we need? Which version should we show? How do we segment the audience?
But personalization isn't a content problem. It's a decisioning problem.
Users arrive with intent signals — keywords, entry paths, context, behavioral data. Teams produce messages optimized for specific needs. The missing layer was a real-time system that could continuously match user intent to message intent — with measurable feedback loops.
I reframed the core question from:
"Which version should we show?"
to:
"Which message best fits this user in this moment — given what we've learned so far?"
That shift turned personalization from rule expansion into probabilistic decisioning.
AMM functions as a real-time decisioning layer between traffic acquisition and content rendering.
At page load, the system captures incoming intent signals, maps them into structured intent clusters, scores eligible message variants, serves the highest-fit message, and logs the outcome as a learning event.
At its core is a configurable scoring model that evaluates:
Messages are not hard-coded to segments. They compete.
The system selects based on fitness — not static rules.
Traditional A/B testing treats experiments as temporary campaigns. AMM treats every impression as a structured learning opportunity.
I designed a performance scoring framework combining conversion rate, volume bonuses, and low-volume penalties, with confidence thresholds to promote or suppress variants and decay logic for underperforming messages. Outcomes dynamically influence future selection probability.
Optimization became continuous instead of episodic.
Instead of launching "Test 1, Test 2, Test 3," the system continuously rebalances exposure toward statistically validated winners. The model accumulates intelligence over time.
Personalization infrastructure fails without internal adoption.
AMM included an internal UX layer so teams could see how keywords were clustered, understand how messages were being scored, view performance rankings with confidence levels, and override or intervene without corrupting the model.
Transparency was intentional.
Automation without explainability creates distrust. Explainability without automation creates manual burden. AMM balanced both.
For the system to reason about messages, I had to formalize message attributes.
I built a thematic clustering framework for the top 300–500 keywords, intent enrichment logic based on search term reports, and a structured taxonomy mapping message types to intent types. A simulation layer ran multiple iterations per keyword to identify high-confidence responses before deployment.
This gave the system semantic awareness — not just string matching. It allowed personalization to operate at the theme and promise level, not just keyword mirroring.
After iterating through early tests that revealed structural bottlenecks in keyword diversity and content entropy, we redesigned the enrichment pipeline, the caching layer to eliminate rendering latency, and the content diversity strategy.

Beyond the performance lift, AMM:
The system compounded value instead of resetting with each test.
Rules scale linearly and become brittle. Systems improve as they gather feedback.
Every new rule increases maintenance burden. A learning system reduces it.
Rules don't compound. Systems do.
Building a scoring engine wasn't enough. Internal users needed visibility into why decisions were being made.
Adoption required explainability, intervention controls, and transparent confidence modeling.
Making the system work technically wasn't enough. I had to make it understandable and trustworthy for the people using it internally.
When treated as a campaign tactic, personalization plateaus.
When treated as a product with infrastructure, feedback loops, governance, and evolution — it compounds.
AMM represents how I approach complex, cross-functional problems:

AMM absorbs that complexity into infrastructure — turning optimization into an evolving, reusable capability instead of an endless to-do list.
It's not about showing more messages. It's about building a system that consistently shows the best message — and gets better every day.
I led AMM as the product strategist, UX architect, and system designer. I proposed and defined the conceptual model, interaction logic, success metrics, and roadmap. Worked closely with paid media, engineering, data science, CRO, and marketing teams to translate user intent into a scalable intelligence layer.
